    For over 50 years, the HealthDirect team has been dedicated to the unique pharmacy needs of individuals residing in Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, and group homes.  On a daily basis our team provides prescription medications, over-the-counter products, clinical consulting services, and specialty pharmacy services to more than 50,000 residents.

    As a team, HealthDirect has achieved significant growth. Over the past 6 years we have grown from four pharmacies in two states to 20 pharmacies across eight states.  Our team has grown to over 900 employees and we are looking to add another – possibly you! We are seeking an astute, driven, hard-working intern to join our marketing team throughout the 2019 spring semester.  

     

    This position is open to students looking to earn invaluable real-world experience in an on-the-job environment in the marketing field or pharmaceuticals/healthcare industry.  Additionally, this position is available for students seeking credit through their university as well as those not seeking credit.  Ideally, this candidate will be a marketing major. Business administration, graphic design, and related majors will also be considered.

    Responsibilities

    HERE IS THE 411 ON THE POSITION

    Position Location: East Syracuse, NY

    Description of duties:

    • Assist in general B2B marketing and brand growth/awareness strategies
    • Assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials, sales materials, and collateral to target audiences.
    • E-mail marketing to current customers and prospects using MailChimp
    • Implementation and support of company branding strategies
    • Creation and upkeep of marketing divisional monthly content calendar
    • Assist in copy writing for company newsletter and internal company blog
    • Social media marketing, including (but not limited to) LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Must work 15-25 hours weekly. Working remotely and collaborating via Skype is possible on occasion.
    • Must be able to physically sit or stand in one place for prolonged periods
    • The position will be for the duration of the entire spring 2019 semester
    • No previous job experience is necessary. However, a professional attitude and willingness to learn and be reliable are a must.
    • We intend for the duties entailed to be challenging and educational, bringing to life what you are learning about in your studies and practically applying them in a real-life environment.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct and remote supervision from Marketing Team and Leadership.  Utilize education and experiences to complete tasks and support in the achievement of department goals.

     

    Job Summary: Perform various entry level, clerical and support duties throughout the Marketing Department.

     

    Job Duties:

    • Assist in general B2B marketing and brand growth/awareness strategies
    • Assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials, sales materials, and collateral to target audiences.
    • E-mail marketing to current customers and prospects using MailChimp
    • Implementation and support of company branding strategies
    • Creation and upkeep of marketing divisional monthly content calendar
    • Assist in copy writing for company newsletter and internal company blog
    • Social media marketing, including (but not limited to) LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Training:

    • HIPAA Privacy Course
    • HIPAA Security Course

     

    Requirements:

    • Strong PC skills including all aspect of Microsoft Office and Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
