  • Overview

    Scope of Responsibilities:  Oversees the overall operations of HealthDirect Accounts Receivables and Billings.  Responsible for ensuring training and development of subordinate staff, conducting performance reviews, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies


    Job Summary: Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all accounts receivable and billing activities for HealthDirect. Involves development, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and maintenance of HealthDirect receivables and billing policies and procedures to insure HealthDirect goals are met.


    Job Duties:

    • Provide direct supervision to the HD Administration Accounts Receivable and Billing personnel.
    • Monitor and manage aged accounts receivables.
    • Maintain knowledge of current laws affecting collection efforts and activities to ensure that the company is following all applicable laws in the states in which we operate.
    • Responsible for creating efficiencies and management of the existing formalized collection policy and procedures.
    • Responsible for overseeing the month-end close process and researching any discrepancies to the General Ledger.
    • Generate month-end reports as necessary
    • Work closely with Third Party, Credit and Collections, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Information Systems, Insurance Companies, pharmacies, and Third-Party Coordinator.
    • Identify training opportunities for receivable and billing personnel.
    • Oversee Institutional Pharmacy Billing Processes and Procedures.
    • Monitor and manage HealthDirect Pharmacy unbilled claims.
    • Responsible for providing monthly analysis on HealthDirect unbilled and provide areas that need to be addressed to management.
    • Responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of technologies needed to maximize efficiencies within supervised department.
    • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies
    • Identify training opportunities for Accounts Receivable and Billing personnel.
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.



    • Minimum: AS Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
    • Preferred: BA, BS or higher in Accounting or related



    • Preferred: 5 Years or more of Accounts Receivable experience


    Special Conditions of Employment:

    • Criminal background check and/or drug test
    • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring


    Required Training:

    • HIPPA Privacy Course
    • HIPPA Security Course
    • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course
